Chavurat Chochma

Chavurat-Chochma (A Friendly Gathering of Wisdom) meets eight or nine times each year, most often on the last Friday of the month. Invitations to each event are sent to congregants 60 years of age and older, though all are welcome. Chavurat-Chochma offers our members the opportunity to socialize, share a meal together and be enlightened. We gather in the Temple social hall to schmooze beginning at 11:30, a delicious and nutritious lunch is served at noon, and a presentation follows. We are fortunate to draw our learned speakers from within our congregation as well as the wider Lexington community. Some of our topics from 2011 include: "Travels in the Czech Republic: With an Emphasis on Jewish Sites", "I've Fallen and I Can Get Up! Fitness, Falls and Body Recall", "Save a Life! Tell Your Story", "A Primer on Islam: Culture and Beliefs of Muslims" and "My Growing Up in Lexington and Temple Adath Israel".
